Sub-Saharan Children’s Hope Trust
The charity is set to promote the education of the less and under privileged children of Sub Sahara by providing healthy diet and anti-retrooviral drugs, scholarships, clothing, conducting workshops and seminars in raising awareness of HIV and AIDS, social education of the communities through KIDS clubs and empowerment of the community through self reliant and help projects within their communities.
VISION
To empower the youths and communities so that they become self-sufficient and develop.
MISSION
The prevention or relief of poverty and financial hardship in Sub-Saharan countries by providing or assisting in the provision of education, training, healthcare projects and all the necessary support designed to enable individuals to live and generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient.
OBJECTIVES
The aims and objects of the charity are generally:
- To assist under privileged young people in Sub Saharan countries with educational scholarships, food and clothing.
- To promote and raise awareness on the prevention of HIV and life saving medicines.
- To promote a healthy diet.
- To empower young people to become self-reliant and self sufficient through provision of income-generating skills.
- To source anti-retroviral drugs to tested and recommended AIDS victims.
- To promote the use of faith and culture in the strengthening of family and community care of orphans and vulnerable children hand in hand with the local religious and cultural leaders.
- Carry out any other activities in line with the objectives and aims enunciated above.
- To decrease incidences of child exploitation (eg labour, sexual abuse and forced marriages)
- To help maintain school attendance and increase enrolment for primary school children in rural schools in Sub-Sahara Africa.
